GOLGOTHA: POETRY OF DESIRE is a poignant collection of twenty-three poems born from the author's deep introspection during the COVID-19 pandemic. Delving into personal struggles and spiritual quests, the poet grapples with health scares, spiritual encounters, and disturbing revelations, drawing wisdom from Taoism, Stoicism, and Gnostic philosophy. Through raw honesty and profound insights, the poems explore mid-life crises, addictions, and the fleeting nature of existence, culminating in a realization that embracing the present moment is the key to true fulfillment. This collection is a testament to the transformative power of self-reflection and the pursuit of inner peace amidst life's challenges.
WHAT THESE POEMS COST ME
"During the pandemic, my beliefs set me apart, and I found myself questioning everything around me. I wrote poetry to make sense of the dissonance and capture the tension between reality and expectation. Disillusionment drew me deeper into Gnosticism, into hidden truths and the illusions we accept as reality. These poems are the record of that investigation—fragments forged in the dark of night, wrestling with choices and the world outside my door. In the process, I lost a piece of my innocence and grew profoundly disappointed, but I also gained a sharper understanding of the world and the illusions we call civilization." |

THE MARCHIONESS IN RED is an illustrated collection of religio-erotic poetry inspired by an American expatriate’s travels in Asia. Each poem examines the spiritual and sexual diversity of the East in relation to Western sensibilities.
WRITTEN UNDER PRESSURE
"My first time abroad as an expatriate felt like stepping into a pressure cooker. Everything familiar—the language, the routines, the unspoken social cues of the U.S.—was gone, replaced by a world that didn’t follow the rules I knew. Culture shock hit me every day: the food, the streets, the gestures, even the tempo of conversation demanded vigilance and adaptation. At the same time, leaving the U.S. behind forced me to confront who I was at the core (at that time): how much of my identity could I carry, and how much would I have to reshape to survive? Every day was a negotiation between holding on and letting go, between the comfort of what I knew and the subtle, sometimes jarring, truths of new ways of moving through the world." |

Poetica Umbra is a poetry collection about spiritual transformation. Inspired by millennium-era Detroit, these free verse evocations recall experiences interwoven with mysticism and tinged by lunacy. By capturing the wild, untamed energy of a ruined city during its darkest days, these poems delve into the bohemian lifestyle of Detroit’s artistic underworld.
THE JOURNEY TO THESE PAGES
"At the millennium, I used to roam around Detroit’s bohemian enclaves. It was a period of chaos and discovery that felt elemental. Everything was alive with a raw energy that pulsed through abandoned buildings, dimly lit bars, and alleys of both decay and possibility. Life there was unpolished and immediate—part "Lord of the Flies," part Peter Pan’s "Lost Boys." Rules were suggestions. We embraced experimentation as if it was sacred. Every night carried the thrill of becoming someone else entirely, shedding expectation in favor of wild abandon, reckless intimacy, and fleeting moments of love and light. The city demanded that you experience deeply, live recklessly, and confront both beauty and danger while living fully in the moment. The poems here were written with the same spirit, looking back on what made that time magical." |
